iPhone 7-8P Home Button “Turtle” IC AD7149 (U10)

The Analog Devices AD7149 Capacitance Sensor Controller, “TURTLE” integrated capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) provides multiple capacitive inputs that can be detected via SPI/I2C.

The IC is used by the iPhone 7 onward for capacitive home button function. In addition, the IC acts as a Touch Controller for the Apple Watch Series, where it was first used.

The IC is commonly damaged from heat, pry damage, or flexing of the substrate to which it is soldered..Compatibility
