iPhone 6S-8P Backlight Driver IC LM3539 (U4020,U4050, U3701,U4601, U5650,U5660)

The Texas Instruments LM3539 (LM3539A0YFFR / LM3539A1), “MUON” LED Backlight Driver IC provides a DC boost for anode, and 2x PWM driven cathodes. In addition the IC can provide an alternate boost route for increased LED current.

This Driver IC is a variation of the LM353x series specifically produced for the iPhone series, and suits a variety of models. The alternate boost route is used for front facing “selfie” flash.

The IC is commonly damaged from corrosion, heat, or a shorted output.
