Why A One Mobiles?

We've been operating from our shop in the Market Square Shopping Centre since 1998, from the time when mobile phones truly started to become more mainstream. Since this time, we've seen enormous change in the mobile market, which has meant our business has changed with it over the years.

We started off selling mobile phones on contract, along with parts and accessories. We quickly realised we needed something new and different. There were many occasions where we'd sell a phone, only to have the customer come back in a few months as they'd broken it. In most cases, we'd have to sell them a new phone - our customers were obviously unsatisfied in a lose-lose situation. It was clear that we had an untapped market. We immediately started looking for suppliers and supplies and building our knowledge around phone repairs.

It was only a short time later that we started offering a repair service, at first only to our most valued customers. By word of mouth our repair service took off dramatically, until one day an elderly man approached us with a Nokia 3310 - "I can't read this thing, the lights are too dim" he said. Instead of selling him a different phone (which probably wouldn't have been any better) we saw this as a challenge - we told him we'd see what we could do. A week later, we got in contact with him again letting him know we'd found replacement globes (blue instead of the original yellow) and they were a vast improvement on visibility. The outcome was incredible and the customer was over the moon.

We continued to grow, learn, adapt and improve our repair service over the years. We started branching off into phone software and more serious repairs such as replacing core circuitry and parts, as well as continually developing our highly successful method of repairing water damage and corrosion.

Which brings us to today - a time when A One Mobiles offers world-class repair services and knowledge that rivals the manufacture repair centres (they don't even touch water damaged phones!) AS WELL AS a full service mobile phone store selling phones on contract, out-right or pre-paid, as well as accessories, replacement parts and all things mobile.
